They quickly find themselves hunted by a supernatural entity called The Bye Bye Man who may be responsible for possessing various people and causing them to commit killing sprees throughout recent history.
The students discover the origins of the Bye Bye Man and find that there is only one way to avoid his curse: don’t say or think his name, because once the Bye Bye Man gets inside your head, he takes control.
Bye Bye Man, The. made its theatrical debut January 13, 2017. Stacy Title directed the Horror, Thriller. Jonathan Penner and Robert Damon Schneck served as the writers. Bye Bye Man, The. is an STX Entertainment Production. Not only is the film anticipated, but the soundtrack is to be of equal excitement.
The soundtrack is visceral sounds from Andy Grush and Taylor Stewart, The Newton Brothers. We know their work from Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Before I Wake, amongst many other projects.
My colleague, Ken Artuz had the pleasure to interview The Newton Brothers. Read The Newton Brothers Exclusive Interview.
Andy and Taylor Newton’s music in Horror is engrossing. They mix light and dark, soft and heavy. Making them sound like dark melodies. Their ensemble includes a collection of acoustic instruments.
Aside from Ouija: Origin of Evil, tracks include Against The Odds and Aftermath from the Hush soundtracks. Also Oculus of Glass from the Oculus Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
The Bye Bye Man Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is available iTunes.
