Overview

Ed Marx signs on to edit Horror feature Death Camp from August Sun Productions. The company announced the news on May 16, 2017. Marx is an established name in Horror cinema. His works include Jeepers Creepers and its immediate sequel. Adam Green’s Frozen. I elaborate it is not the Disney film. Hatchet 2 and 3, and Zombeavers among many other titles.

Marx is an accomplished Editor serving the industry for over four decades. His first big-time cinematic production began with the 1993 documentary  It’s All True.  While Marx takes his place in Editing, he also served as Executive Producer on the Horror short film, Devil’s Creek and the Horror, Thriller Rock Paper Dead.

The Latest

The Death Camp synopsis centers a group of teenagers on Summer weekend getaway in an abandoned cabin. They find out it was the scene of a murder decades ago. This sounds like the teen scream slashers much accustomed to since the 80s.

When you think back to those movies and how each of them has played out, you can almost predict the same with Robert J. Locke’s production. The plot alone has no original substance. Likewise, all we have to go on now is the synopsis. The release will confirm or abandon any speculations and judgments.

Looking at his filmography, Locke has some presence in Horror. He starred in John Stecenko’s The Legend of Bloody Mary, which I remember being as an urban legend theme. Other works include Joe Charbanic’s short Horror Date Night. Locke also served as a voice actor in The Darkness video game. His work frequents in Comedy, Drama, and Romance.

Adding Ed Marx on board to edit Death Camp will spotlight Locke’s production. Another good addition to the cast is Bill Oberst Jr an icon in the Horror scene. He’s known for many notable productions, including True BloodKrampus: The Christmas Devil, and the much expected Death House, which releases soon.
