Stu Jopia and the creative collective; Two-Headed Snake Entertainment launched a new project! The Dead of Night Film Festival is a two-day event in Southport, England. The event aims to shed a spotlight on indie filmmakers.

Full-length features and shorts will comprise most of The Dead of Night Film Festival agenda. According to the press release issued:

The film festival will screen 8 short and 8 feature films within the horror genre and all its wonderful sub-genres, there’ll be Q&A with directors and cast, special guests and a whole lot more horrific fun.

DecayMag Dead of Night Film Festival

The Dead of Night Film Festival runs the 20th of October to the 21st of October 2017. Submission opened the 11th of February 2017 with the deadline set for the 20th of September 2017. The event will take place at The Atkinson Theatre.

Confirmed are a slate of guest judges that includes;

Nicholas Vince
Jessica Cameron
Jay Kay

The panel of judges will expand, announcements forthcoming!

Below are a list of awards & prizes that will be issued at The Dead of Night Film Festival;

• Best Score

Actor, Producer, Writer Jopia and Two-Headed Snake Entertainment are notable for Good Tidings. The survival Horror, slasher film released in 2016 with great fanfare. Jopia and company are now providing a platform for indie filmmakers to shine.

It can be hard for independent filmmakers to get theatrical releases for their movies and we want to help get them the audiences they deserve.

For entry rules and terms visit FilmFreeway. The theme is simple, Horror and related sub-genres. Short Films must meet the requirement of having a running time of under forty-five (45) Minutes. Full 
feature films must be over sixty (60) minutes in length.
