tephen David Brooks, his experience in film production spans over twenty-five years. Brooks expertise lies within the visual effects field. Brook’s visual effects credits include; Lifeforce (1985), Spontaneous Combustion (1990), and The Mangler (1995).
Aside from creating visual magic for film Brooks is an accomplished screenwriter. In fact, Brooks is a Stephen King approved writer. The recognition followed his film short adaptation of King’s short story The Mangler.
Brooks penned Spiders in 2000 and the immediate sequel the following year. It is not until 2005 that Brooks would transition into the director’s chair.
Fast forward to the present.Brooks unveiled his second feature Flytrap. Categorized as a Comedy, Drama, Sci-Fi, Flytrap has garnered many awards. The film is circulating in the film festival circuit. Flytrap is set to release the 11th of October 2016, on DVD and VOD.
The synopsis to Flytrap reads as follows:
FLYTRAP mixes sci-fi with dark humor to tell the story of a reserved English Astronomer who becomes ensnared by the mysterious Mary Ann and her creepy and dangerous comrades. Held hostage in a twisted version of suburban San Fernando Valley, the Astronomer slowly uncovers the reason for his capture and the miserable fate that awaits him-and humanity-unless he acts.
