Annie Clark Transitions into XX Horror

Annie Clark aka St Vincent Makes Directorial Debut

XX is a Horror film under development from XYZ Films. The title is not to be confused with porn or the electro-indie band The XX. Production news on this film has entertainment news sources buzzing with excitement. Before we delve into the topic here’s a brief overview on the project.

What is “XX”?

“XX” is a Horror anthology film that will begin filming Spring 2016. The highlight of the production is the roster of female Horror directors attached. Also, the central themes to each segment revolves around a female protagonist.

The film will feature works from the following talents:

Sofia Carrillo

Mary Harron

Karyn Kusama

Jennifer Chambers Lynch

Jovanka Vuckovic

Jen Soska & Sylvia Soska  were attached to contribute a segment to “XX”. Yet, The Soska Sisters departed within early stages of production. Sofia Carrillo also severed her contribution on the Horror anthology project. Mary Harron became the latest director to exit “XX”.

Magnet Releasing issued the following information via Press Release.

Musician/songwriter Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent) joins the female-driven horror production. The transition to film will launch Clark’s directorial debut. Roxanne Benjamin will serve as  co-writter and producer to Clark’s Horror segment. The following is a clarification to readers young enough to remember. Annie Clark aka St. Vincent is not Anne Clark notable for the early eighties classics “In Metropolis” and “Our Darkness”.  Annie Clark’s recent album self-titled St. Vincent is a multi-award winning release. Guitar World magazine labels Clark as:

“..the first truly 21st century guitar hero.”

Annie Clark shared the following regarding her Horror directorial debut.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the genre film medium,”
