Beverly Hills Lizard People, Production Begins
Beverly Hills Lizard People, Announced by Cthulhu Crush Productions
Disturbed from their ancient slumber by the excavation of a cross-town subway, the ancient reptilian masters of a faded empire strike out to reclaim what was once theirs: Beverly Hills. Ground zero for their invasion?
A once popular, though now faded, hotel, currently the site of a reality TV cooking show competition, and directly overhead of their secret city.
Can the collection of unlikely contestants — ambitious, backstabbing, and determined — stop the shape-shifting Terrors From Below below before the reptilian ravagers achieve their goal of conquering first Beverly Hills and then the world?
Beverly Hills Lizard People has been announced by Cthulhu Crush Productions, and will begin filming in 2017. The Horror-Comedy is written by Jody Wheeler and produced by Wheeler and Steve Parker of WTF! Productions.
It will tell of an ancient race of shape-shifting Lizard People from the depths of the Earth who return to the surface to reclaim what was once theirs: Beverly Hills. It is inspired by a legend that Lizard People live under the ground in Los Angeles, as was reported in 1944.
It sounds like the circuit of the Creature Feature with a mix of Mummies is groundbreaking in the New Year. If I understand correctly, the Beverly Hills Lizard People calls for a race of ancient reptilian creatures who once reigned in Beverly Hills decades ago.
Unfortunate events have caused their empire to fall through the ground and become nonexistent. In the Present Day, the reptilian creatures are accidentally awaken from their slumber and plan a strategy to take back what was once theirs, and ultimately, to rule the world.
This synopsis says Beverly Hills Lizard People will favor Slither and Scream, but the premise makes me visualize a clashing of the War Of The Worlds and The Mummy themes. For obvious reasons, that this is a central premise in these kinds of films.
The new and refreshing idea is the ancient reptilian race, or The Lizard People, as they are called. I cannot recall this idea being done to date, and it will be interesting to see what comes of Wheeler and Parker’s film.
Beverly Hills Lizard People does not specify a director at this time. It is being produced by WTF! Productions and Cthulhu Crush Productions. It will begin filming in the New Year.
