It is no surprise to see the cryptozoological theme dominating DVD and VOD releases during the 2017 calendar. Last year a great many films refer to the subject and on a sub-level continued into beasts such as The Sasquatch and Chupacabra. If you, the reader are unfamiliar with these purported actual creatures, worry not. There is a slate of resourceful material both on the web and in bookstores regarding these cryptids. Still further, don’t rely so much on the over inflated reality shows on television. These act as sources of entertainment rather than a trustworthy reference.
Now onto the subject at hand. Big Legend is the most recent film to delve into the theme of a bipedal ape/human-like creature. The animal has many terms depending on the locality. Filming for Big Legend developed in southwestern Washington in and around the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. In particular, the scenes unfolded at the base of Mt. St. Helens, a now dormant volcano. For this specific region, the creature is called Bigfoot or Sasquatch.
Kevin Makely, Todd A. Robinson, Summer Spir and Amanda Wyss comprise part of the cast for Big Legend. Principal photography ended in December 2016 and a publishing date has expectancy sometime this year. Upcoming specifications will involve distribution platforms and/or a trailer for the film.
