Bobbin Ramsey’s Horror Directorial Debut

Bobbin Ramsey’s “Dead Body” is a blood filled slasher Horror film fused with elements of a mystery film. What makes the feature truly special is the fact it is the directorial debut of a female filmmaker/experienced stage director and is slated for its world Premiere at the NYC Horror Festival scheduled between the 12th of November to the 15th of November 2015. Immediately following the world premier screening “Dead Bodies” will also be featured at Another Hole in the Head film festival in San Francisco, California which runs between the 6th of November to the 14th of November 2015.

“Dead Body” was successfully funded on crowdfunding campaign website Kickstarter raising close to twenty-six thousand dollars towards production and marketing costs. Backers helped propel the concept of teens at a secluded cabin with its echos of a suspense thriller and made it possible. The concept of a mystery slasher is seeing a resurgence in popularity, intriguing audience once again specifically with the broadcasts of slasher mysteries on the small screen. 

The synopsis to the film “Dead Bodies” is as follows:

Nine high school kids celebrate graduation at a secluded home in the wilderness. They fight, philander, and feel nostalgic as they embark on a life away from home, in college. Once the party dies down they play a game: Dead Body. But when one party-goer takes the game too far, actually murdering the other guests one by one, it’s up to the group to set aside their tensions, and ferret out the murderer before it’s too late.

‘Dead Body’ was produced by Ramon Isao and co-written collaboratively with Ian Bell. A.J. Rickart-Epstein serves as cinematographer. The stars of Bobbin Ramsey’s Dead Body” are local talent, with each also establishing their first feature debut. The exception lies with the lead, veteran actor; Cooper Hopkins.
