“Condemned” Quarantine Horror..
An abandoned New York City apartment complex serves as a backstory to the upcoming Horror Thriller “Condemned”. To add to the tension, the dwellers within the building are at the epicenter of a deadly virus outbreak. The film, “Condemned” is an upcoming indie horror film written and directed by Eli Morgan Gesner and is the new entry in the slowly growing quarantine horror sub-genre.
Although the aforementioned sub genre doesn’t officially bear a title per se but the premise usually centers on a group of unsuspecting individuals trapped by the CDC (or some government health organization) inside a building.
“Condemned” stars Ronen Rubinstein, Lydia Hearst, Jon Abrahams, Honor Titus, Johnny Messner and Genevieve Hudson-Price, portray central characters in the tension fueled man versus man (or man versus inhuman) scenario after the CDC quarantines the neighborhood.
“Condemned” is scheduled for released in limited theaters on the 13th of November 2015. The synopsis to the film reads as follows:
Fed up with her parents’ bickering, poor-little-rich-girl Maya moves in with her boyfriend who is squatting in an old, condemned building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. With neighbors that are meth heads, junkies and degenerates, this depraved hell hole is even more toxic than it appears:
After a virus born from their combined noxious waste and garbage infects the building’s residents, one by one, they succumb to a terrifying pathogen that turns them into bloodthirsty, rampaging killers and transforms their building into a savage slaughterhouse.
