Project Overview

Bonehill Road is gearing up for production. The werewolf film is written and directed by Todd Sheets, who is actually a long-time indie Horror movie Director.

Dating back to the late 1980s, Sheets has made many Horror movies. After taking a crucial break due to illness, he is back in the game. Bonehill Road marks his third and newest feature film since getting back in the game.

Details

Bonehill Road is an homage to classic monster films like The Howling and An American Werewolf In London. In some ways, it is a throwback to the films we grew up with… the real horror movies that we all love so much, and in another way it is a modern horror flick that uses old school techniques, including Practical Monster Effects.

NO CGI at all here. Our goal is to make an exciting, scary monster movie with some really cool werewolves. Every dime will be put into the monsters. This whole campaign is ALL about the werewolves.

Here’s some exciting news. As we all know with the changing decades and trends, Horror cinema trends also changes. Modern retakes on classic films become drowned with huge amounts of CGI.

For a film to return to its roots is a very exciting idea. We all remember that period. A time where CGI wasn’t even available given the lack of technology back in those days. In my opinion, it is refreshing to watch a film will only practical effects. Usually, it’s all about moving forward with change instead of moving backward.

Horror cinema is much different in this aspect, where change needs to move backward. Any Horror fan will definitely understand this confusing theory. Examples of practical losing in favor of CGI effects occurred in Horror over the decades. Surprisingly, Werewolves back in the 40’s were much better in concept than concepts presented today.

The perfect example will always be The Wolfman (1941) versus Twilight (2008). I believe most Horror fans will back me up here.

Bonehill Road surpassed its original funding goal of $2,500. Now on the IndieGoGo platform contributions near $5,100. The crowdfunding still has a month of the campaign left to go. This is huge. Very exciting news.

Director Todd Sheets is a very well-known and accomplished filmmaker. His latest film House of Forbidden Secrets earned official selection at film festivals. We can only expect more great things moving forward.

The production crew needs help with the extra funding costs of the production. All monies will go towards the production itself. This includes the creature effects, special effects, stunts, and other expenses. The more money the film makes, the better the film will be.

Your generous donations and support will reap rewards. Pledges start at $15 and go up to $1,000. For the ultimate package, contributors will get a wide range of limited edition items. Rewards here include signed copies of the Blu-Ray, DVD, and VHS, shooting script, movie poster, and much more.
