Film About America’s first serial killer

Well, it’s about time! After years of just rumors circulating and speculating, the long anticipated “Devil in the White City” is in the making, and the cast so far is just superb! For those of you who aren’t familiar with “Devil in the White City”, it was first published as a novel in 2003 by author Erik Larson, called “Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America”. Dr. H. H. Holmes.

America’s first serial killer built a massive mansion on a storefront, which most people know as the murder mansion, or the murder castle. Inside of the mansion Holmes housed hundreds of rooms, chambers, and secret corridors that he used to orchestrate his killings. Where did a lot of his victims come from? During the Chicago World’s Fair in 1983, several mysterious disappearances and deaths escalated. Can you guess why?

Now, the novel “Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America”, goes on into a theatrical adaptation with an amazing production team and cast:

Writer: Billy Ray, producers: Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Stacey Sher, Rick Yorn, Emma Koskoff, and Michael Shamberg.
We know this wonderful production team for their work in “The Departed”, “Gangs of New York”, “The Wolf of Wall Street”, “The Aviator”, “Django Unchained”, “Shutter Island”, “Pulp Fiction”, and “Runner Runner”. H.H. Holes Leonardo DiCaprioNot only will DiCaprio take part in the direction and production of “Devil in the White City”, he will also play the star role as the infamous Dr. H. H. Holmes.

With exceptional appearances in the aforementioned films, as well as “Inception”, “Titanic”, “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape”, “The Great Gatsby”, “J. Edgar”, and “Revolutionary Road”, DiCaprio shines with 161 nominations and 46 awards during the course of his career. He will do exceptionally well in “Devil in the White City”.
