Dig Two Graves tells the story of a young girl’s obsession with the death of her brother, taking her on a nightmarish journey where she must a face a deadly proposition to bring him back.

It explores emotional truths about grief and loss, while the striking visuals, which are often dark, moody, sexy, and dangerous, create a heightened reality where magic and mysticism can freely exist.

But this is a cautionary tale, as the title refers to an ancient Chinese proverb; “When you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves!”

The Dig Two Graves teaser trailer is short and simple, yet suspenseful. A young woman walking alone on a stretch of road. She is approached by three mysterious men. They seem to have ulterior motives or a sinister vendetta.

The teaser trailer ends after about 60 seconds, but it’s effective in its approach to be eerie. Without much shown in the teaser, it leaves many questions unanswered. This makes the viewer want to watch the film.

This kind of marketing and promoting has become very effective in Horror cinema. Nowadays, directors and filmmakers look to entice viewers without giving away too much. A 60-second teaser that provokes me to watch the film is more effective than a 2-minute trailer that gives away details.
