“Hellstorm” Action/Horror will feature..

CM Punk, Internationally know as the longest reigning WWE Champion to date, and AJ Lee as the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion retired at the pinnacle of their respective careers. Professional wrestling fans rejoice, as the married couple whose real names are Phil Brooks and April Jeanette Brooks  will be making a return to the entertainment arena but it will not be in a wrestling ring. The two athletes will be making their acting debut, appearing together in the upcoming Action/Horror motion picture,  “Hellstorm”. The film, “Hellstorm” will delve in the post-apocalyptic horror sub-genre.

The official synopsis to the film, “Hellstorm” is as follows:

After the collapse of the world’s financial system and a devastating world war, a group of mismatched survivors are forced to band together and battle a variety of unexplainable and horrific beasts that descend on their tiny makeshift community.

“Hellstorm”  is written and directed William Butler  and will be produced by Nick Byassee and Robert Kurtzman, the Creator / Executive Producer of “From Dusk Till Dawn”. “Hellstorm” will also star: Mat Fraser, Colleen Camp, Selene Luna, Kate Hodge, and Brian Goff . “Hellstorm” will begin shooting in Ohio this November. At of the time of this writing further information on the official release date or the format of distribution have been released. 

It will be interesting to see how Phil and April Jeanette Brook’s professional wrestling badassery transition over into the movie “Hellstorm”. Phil Brooks’ only experience is proving voice over to the animated feature, “The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age Smackdown!”. April Jeanette Brooks shares a similar filmography as well, with her only role was providing voice over in the animated feature, “Scooby-Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery”. Currently, CM Punk is training, transition from the theatrics of professional wrestling to the combat sport of MMA.
