The third installment to the Horror movie franchise, “Jeepers Creepers” is now officially greenlit according to a report released by deadline. Writer, Director and “Jeepers Creepers” creator Victor Salva will return for the third installment. Reprising their roles in the series will be, Jonathan Breck who portrays the villainous creature, “The Creeper” and Brandon Smith depicting Sergeant Davis Tubbs.
Tentatively titled “Jeepers Creepers 3”, the film will begin filming next year (2016) in Vancouver, Canada. Privately run film studio; American Zoetrope produced the first two entries of the “Jeepers Creepers” horror franchise. The company owned by notably film icon Francis Ford Coppola will co-produce “Jeepers Creepers 3” in conjunction with Odyssey Media owned by Kirk Shaw, Surai Gohill, and The Cartel owned by Stan Spry. Producer credits will be shared among the three aforementioned companies. President and CEO of Myriad Pictures, Kirk D’Amico will serve as executive producer. Myriad Pictures will also finance and handle international sales for “Jeepers Creepers 3”.
“Jeepers Creepers 3” will borrow the same concept of the first two installments of the franchise. The plot will revolve on the winged monster of the Nebraska countryside called “The Creeper”. and during the last day of its 23rd day feeding/replenishment of his internal organs. However, according to deadline, the titular creature’s origin will also be explored in the third chapter. “Jeepers Creepers” was released in 2001 and although the film didn’t garner success in the box office, it did however amassed a cult following. A second installment was released two years later but lagged in ticket sales and critic approval. As a result the “Jeepers Creepers” franchise came to an end.

Protest and disgust were voiced on social media site, Twitter over “Jeepers Creepers” creator Victor Salva , a convicted child molester and his newly green-lit project in the franchise. Victor Salva served a mere fifteen month of a lenient three year prison sentence after being convicted in having sexual relations with a minor. The victim in question was child actor to Victor Silva’s directorial debut, the 1989 horror film, “Clownhouse”. It was reported that Victor Salva recorded the sexual exploits during rehearsals, recordings which Salva kept in his private child pornography collection.
