While attending a dinner party at his former home, a man thinks his ex-wife and her new husband have sinister intentions for their guests.

Overview

Invitation, is an upcoming Thriller from Drafthouse Films. The film debuted last year at South by Southwest (SXSW). Since then the film has earned rave reviews among critics. “Invitation” also screened at the The Mile High Horror Film Festival in October 2015. Drafthouse Films acquired the distribution rights to the film early 2015. The film is scheduled for a limited for both a theatrical release and video on demand on March 25, 2016.

“Invitation” resides on the side of a Thriller instead of a Horror film. Overall the film transends genres with its Psychological approach. The plot centers on the character Will. For the basis of the story he for some odd reason is invited to attend his ex-wife’s home for a dinner party. Paranoia and Suspicion begins to circulate for Will. He begins to question whether his ex-wife and her new husband have sinister intentions. The film is directed by Brooklyn, New Yorker Karyn Kusama. Her previous horror film credit includes “Jennifer’s Body” released in 2009. Prior to that she directed the 2009 Action, Sci-FiAeon Flux“.

  1. This is what a trailer should be! Conveys the sense of the movie without spoiling it. From what I’ve heard this should be a movie worth seeing. Can’t wait. I’m glad there are no spoilers published.
