Light Goes Green For Light’s Out
Light Turns On For Sandberg’s Light’s Out
David Sandberg will return to direct Lights Out sequel. The chilling Horror has already become a sensation. In 2013, Sandberg introduced a chilling 3-minute Horror short that was successful enough to be turned into a feature film. In 2016, Lights Out the feature film was released and received a great response amongst the audiences. Now, there is a sequel to the chilling Horror in the works.
The premise to Lights Out the short film is simple. A woman is haunted by a mysterious figure that only comes out when the lights are off. The short 3-minute film was simple, yet powerful enough to install a rush of adrenaline and a brief fear.
The 2016 Lights Out feature film centers on Rebecca and her little brother, Martin, and their mother, Sophie:
When her little brother, Martin, experiences the same events that once tested her sanity, Rebecca works to unlock the truth behind the terror, which brings her face to face with an entity that has an attachment to their mother, Sophie.
The feature film received a different response from audiences. Some say it wasn’t what was expected, and some say it still holds it horrifying nature, despite being a PG-13 rated film. It’s not often these Horror films receive a positive response because they usually lack the ingredients needed to make a positive impression. On the contrary, Lights Out has become an instant sensation.
Now, in less than a month after the release of Lights Out, New Line Cinema has confirmed that a sequel is in the works.
David F. Sandberg will return to direct, along with Eric Heisserer as the writer. James Wan will return as the producer through his Atomic Monster banner, along with Lawrence Grey through his Grey Matter banner.
