Mary Harron is well known for her works; “I Shot Andy Warhol”, “The Notorious Betty Page” and “The Moth Diaries”. “American Psycho” remains one of most successful contributions in Horror cinema. Harron and Turner will work together again. They’ll be creating the film adaptation to; “The Long Prison Journey of Leslie Van Houten: Life Behind the Cult”. Written by Karlene Faith, the book gives focus on Leslie Van Houten. Houten was part of the notorious Mason family. Karlene Faith was her social worker. reports Deadline. The film based on the Manson Family is titled “The Family”. The plot will base on “The Long Prison Journey of Leslie Van Houten: Life Behind the Cult”. After the murders, Karlene Faith worked with three of the young women in the Manson Family Cult. The murders came to is known as one of the most infamous in U.S. history.
Faith will be the center focus of “The Family”. Jeremy M. Rosen of Roxwell Films is set to produce the film. There is no casting information yet. “The Family” is set to begin shooting this summer in Los Angeles, reports ScreenCrush.
