Synopsis:

What happens when you realize that to achieve your dreams you have to live a nightmare? Rose is a quiet, demure, unassuming woman in her looks and actions. Her dream is to become a famous designer in the fashion world, but a terrible accident leaves Rose scarred beyond recognition.

She seeks out a radical untested stem cell treatment. The treatment is nothing short of a miracle and wallflower Rose turns into the belle of the ball. It all seems to good to be true. She is now everything she wanted to be. But everything in life comes at a price and this new found perfect life is no exception.

Overview

News surfaced at the 2018 American Film Market (AFM) that has the Horror community alert with excitement. 101 Films International and Film Mode Entertainment are co-representing Jen and Sylvia Soska’s latest film Rabid. The film is a remake of the 1997 Horror cult classic directed and written by David Cronenberg.

Cronenberg presented a compelling visual story centered on the zombie horror sub-genre. In the 1977 film the protagonist, a young woman becomes cannibalistic, this after undergoing experimental plastic surgery. Fear mounts as her victims spread the contagion thus speeding up a city-wide panic.

Jen and Sylvia Soska’s reboot modernizes Cronenberg’s idea while maintaining the core aspect of the plot intact. Below is a description to the Soska Sister’s latest film;

Drawing influence from the original movie, the remake follows Rose, a young woman who after an accident scars her beyond recognition, undergoes a radical untested stem-cell treatment. While turning Rose into the belle of the ball, the experimental transformation comes at a horrific price.

Rabid continues post-production and a release date has yet to be announced. The cast includes the talents of;
