Scratch, Afrocentric Comedy, Horror

Scratch, An Overview:

DecayMag.com Tristan Convert's ScratchDirector, Writer, Cinematographer, Tristan Convert spending much of his career developing short films. Convert now aims on adding a full feature production unto his resume. “Scratch” is the title to Convert’s next project. The French creative visionary will use unorthodox methods in the film making process.

Tossed from the equation are the use of conventional production methods. State-of-the-art equipment and an arsenal of gadgetry will be absent. Apple iPhone 6 will substitute video cameras.

This improvised execution takes film making to a different level. Tristan Convert is not the first film maker to use mobile phones to create a cinematic experience. Yet, Convert is unique in his creative venture. It’s a trek away from tired Found Footage presentations.

Marketed as a “Phone Footage” film, “Scratch” will redefine Found Footage Horror! Tristan Convert expressed the following on his creative decision towards filming his upcoming film. Convert stated:

“The audience will see what the filmmakers’ crew in the movie is shooting from the point-of-view of their iPhones. The handheld, POV-style frame will be intimate, close to the characters, swirling, falling, selfie-ing, complete with texts and IOS updates interrupting the shoot,”
