Terra Formars Film Poster Revealed
Terra Formars began in 2011 as a serialization to Shueisha’s magazine Weekly Young Jump since . Written by Yū Sasuga and illustrated by Kenichi Tachiban the Japanese manga series gained recognition in America after Viz Media began publishing an English translation in 2014. The “Terra Formars” manga has 10 million copies in circulation. Also, in 2014 “Terra Formars” released as two animated television series, and spawned a spin-off manga titled “Terra For Police”.
Currently under production is the live-action adaptation to the popular Japanese manga, “Terra Formars”. Even if you’ve haven’t hear of or perhaps not be a fan of the “Terra Formars” Manga or Anime one component merits watching the film. Horror enthusiasts will be interested to know that world renowned horror/suspense director Takashi Miike is directing “Terra Formars” based off the screenplay written by Kazuki Nakashima.
The synopsis to the film “Terra Formars” is as follows:
In the late 26th century, overpopulation on Earth is reaching the breaking point, and humanity must find new frontiers. The terraforming of Mars has taken centuries, but is now complete. The colonization of Mars by humanity is an epoch-making event, but an unintended side effect of the terraforming process unleashes a horror no one could ever have imagined…
After humanity’s first manned mission to the Red Planet was lost, a second expedition arrives. The explorers prepare to exterminate the cockroaches that were used to transform the Martian environment. They are shocked to discover that the insects have mutated into giant, aggressive humanoids with one overriding goal: exterminate the humans! But this crew of explorers has each undergone the “Bugs Procedure, ” terrifying experimental surgery designed to make them more than human…
As of yet news of the “Terra Formars” theatrical release has yet to be released. However, stay tuned as a trailer to the film may pop up sooner than later.
