After Rogue Warrior Robot Warrior accomplishments, the cast and director reunite for another venture into science fiction. The troupe will shed post-apocalyptic personas for roles in a time-traveling epic. Neil Johnson returns as director and will bring to life his screenplay, a story set against the backdrop of World War 2. The Time War is the title of Johnson’s film and the plot focuses on a what-if scenario. To elaborate, what-if the Nazis proved successful with their experimentation on time travel technology. The fascinating part of this storyline is the circumstances behind it. There is fact behind Nazis experimenting within the realm of the paranormal.

How will the storyline change real situations into a measured piece of science fiction? The summary in the accompanying press release excerpt explains;

The Time War reveals the consequences of Adolf Hitler traveling through time and re-writing history. Rather than taking a campy-cartoony stance on the notion, The Time War takes a more serious, scientific-based approach to the consequences of time travel and the theoretical multi-verse. As Adolf Hitler starts to re-write his genetics, he learns that cause and effect are not as simple as it may seem on paper. After dealing with multiple versions of himself, his greatest nemesis is his own daughter Dijanne (played by Tracey Birdsall) who takes on his legacy of empire building and creates an army of one, from various versions of herself from across a billion different timelines.

The Time War comes off the heels of Rogue Warrior Robot Warrior. The film captured the film festival circuit by storm and in its wake earned eighteen (18) awards and six (9) nominations. It is not customary to bring acclaim to one film in the article covering another but the achievement Rogue Warrior Robot Warrior earned is extraordinary. It intrigues me when a visionary, entrepreneur, or filmmaker tackles a project with humble direction and the outcome becomes greater than expected.

Neil Johnson set out to create Rogue Warrior Robot Warrior as a quick production. Yet, recognition from the press morphed what was to be an under the radar project into one of 2017’s most popular indie film.
