A new take on the classic story of a group of twenty-something kids’ weekend of terror at the lake house.
Freshwater is gearing up for its release on February 14, 2017. The film centers on a 20-ft monster alligator. The beast terrorizes anyone who comes near the lake.
The trailer for Freshwater has a decent amount of action. A giant territorial alligator brings an unfortunate demise to people unaware of the danger in lurking in the lake.
Cryptozoological films have been a centerpiece for many years. Likewise, giant killer alligators and crocodiles seem to be common in this genre. While they usually hold great suspense, this train is running its wheels into the ground.
The interesting thing about Freshwater is the killer alligator. The creature has a menacing and intimidating look. You notice a brief scene in the trailer where its eyes glow a deep red as it stalks its prey. The amount of suspense and anticipation in that scene alone is enough to want to give Berry’s film a chance.
The term “monster alligator” is an intriguing phrase. This is more than a marketing ploy for these kinds of films. There is a lot of excitement involving giant killer creatures. We already know alligators and crocodiles to be territorial. The thought of the possibility in these natural creature turning homicidal is engrossing.
Another interesting feature is Zoe Bell. We know her from a range of popular films.
Bell filmography includes the Kill Bill trilogy, Inglorious Bastards, and the Grindhouse films. She also performed her own stunts in these films. Bell is an exciting addition to Freshwater.
Freshwater will release on February 14, 2017.
