After an innocent prank leaves Amanda pregnant and out of a job, she finds herself on the verge of motherhood and the target of a psychotic stalker who will stop at nothing to get her hands on the unborn child.
The Get My Gun trailer is mysterious and intense. The film centers on the protagonist Amanda (portrayed by Kate Hoffman). In one scene she is wearing a nun uniform. In another scene, she is working at a motel of some sort. Possibly as a housekeeper.
After a vicious rape, Amanda becomes pregnant and becomes the target of a mad woman. Scenes interweave showing Amanda fighting for survival.
The trailer for Get My Gun is brief, running short of a minute long. Not much of a drawn conclusion here. Based on the trailer it just leaves so much to ponder on. Given the information from the synopsis and from the trailer, I can speculate that:
• Amanda wears a nun uniform, there is some question if religion comes into play with the narrative.
• If so, was a suggested attack a hate crime against her religion?
• This also begs to question if she lost her job due to the strict demands of her religion.
Another conjured speculation with a more serious tone is that of the influences. Darwas’ film take inspiration from I Spit on Your Grave and Run! Bitch, Run!
The trailer is silent with a great background track selection that adds to the creep factor of the film. Is the film itself a silent presentation as well. The trailer doesn’t give much detail to work with. It only formulates opinionated conclusions. It does succeed at being dark, creepy, and intense. This film strikes my interest.
