The Mothman of Point Pleasant as the name of the film suggests focuses on the Mothman Legend. As many are aware documented sightings emerged on and/or around 1966 in Point Pleasant. Seth Breedlove’s film chronicles events between the first sightings and a tragic bridge collapse.

The documentary film looks to retell the Mothman legend through eyewitness testimony and the perspective of Point Pleasant citizens. The Mothman was first sighted in 1966 and sightings continued until around the time a bridge that connected the West Virginia town of Point Pleasant to the Ohio town of Gallipolis collapsed in 1967. The documentary will tell not only the Mothman stories but the entire thirteen-month span between the first sightings and the bridge collapse.
The Mothman Of Point Pleasant teaser trailer unveiled! The documentary looks to take a personal and intimate tone on the legend. The presentation is complete with a haunting score. The affectionate tone within each eyewitnesses narration is frightful. They each share their accounts of the legendary creature.
The trailer also provides a sense of mystery. As key witnesses share their experiences on the creature, you see the calm, eeriness of the woods. The town has since fallen into despair following the sightings.
The Mothman is described as a winged, man-sized creature with large, reflective red eyes and large moth-like wings.
