When Ranae agrees to babysit for a family with a tragic past, a run-of-the-mill Saturday night quickly turns into a confrontation with unspeakable horror.
The Nursery has signed a distribution deal with Uncork’d Entertainment. The Horror film is directed by Christopher A. Micklos and Jay Saprio. Micklos pens the script. The film is expected to release in late Spring or early Summer of 2018.
The Nursery has made fan outreach and engagement a priority during development and production of the film, using social media to share production updates and behind-the-scenes photos, exclusive stills, and more fan-friendly content throughout the filmmaking process.
The Nursery trailer starts off slow and builds intensity, delivering paranoia with every clip. It asks two questions: Who’s the Hunter? Who’s the Prey? Two interesting questions I am sure will be important as the film progresses.
A young woman takes a babysitting job. This is a premise that’s seen countless times in Horror cinema. She soon finds out that the family is not as innocent as they seem, and the job is more than meets the eye. Three of her friends visit her while she cares for the infant. However, as suggested by the title, there must be something wrong with the infant or “nursery”.
This confirmed by startling trailer clips that provide enough creep factor to interest the viewer. The clips are both intense and subtle. Observation suggests a struggle, but is minimal enough to still raise questions. Observation also suggests paranormal activity, which I speculate by some clips, but is not enough to confirm.
The Nursery looks like an exciting production with paranormal or supernatural themes. It’s inspired by films such as Halloween, Phantasm, and House of the Devil. All great films in the Horror genre.
