Synopsis
A down-at-heel author who is trying to get his life back on track is getting into the vortex of an almighty death cult and finds out soon that his destiny is connected to a mysterious woman. Will he be able to get free and to save her by dashing the secret society or will it get even stronger?
Actor Kim Sønderholm portrays Mick, a character who becomes part of a secret underground cult. The group practices some sort of Day of the Dead ritual involving human sacrifice.
Mick sits at a bar when approached by a stranger eager to get him to go to a secret location. Soon Mick is enchanting a woman, who seems to have caught his interest. This may be the mysterious woman described in the synopsis. I speculated this as the challenging ultimatum. Will Mick choose between love or the cult? Or, the love interest may be his destiny as the synopsis suggests.
Fast-forward to another interesting scene. This one finds the secret cult about to conduct a human sacrifice. This scene is very dark, intense, and enticing.
Opinion
Reyes appears to be a profound Thriller film centered on the occult. This is what the synopsis and the trailer suggests. The trailer is intriguing. The films look to be one of the best cult movies to come in a while.
