Exorcisms, a longstanding staple in Horror cinema has captivated viewers for decades. In many circumstances, the theme seems to have overstayed its welcome. That is until a different approach to the genre reinvigorates interest from Horror connoisseurs.

Stacy Cox, DecayMag Staff Correspondent first reported on American Guinea Pig:The Song of Solomon Back in September 2016. At the time the production was wrapping up and now a press release has announced the forthcoming release coming to VOD.

Stephen Biro, CEO of Unearthed Films serves as director and writer to The Song of Solomon. As with many independent filmmakers, Biro looks to push the boundaries with Horror filmmaking. According to the press release Songs of Solomon will have;

100% Real Exorcism Rituals taken from The Exorcism book from the Vatican: DE EXORCISMUS ET SUPPLICATIONIBUS QUIBUSDAM and uses 100% practical effects from two of the leading FX Companies in Independent Horror (Toetag and Oddtopsy ).

Realism and practical effects are sure to wow viewers and the trailer expresses the intense violence and gory accompaniments. The camera work highlights the scenes of exorcism as the centerpiece to the film. From the short promotional video, it is difficult to gauge anything else in terms of production contribution.

Although not a highlight in the Songs Of Solomon offers themes of suicide, world chaos, and the Catholic Church trying to save the world from demonic possession
