Gayce, a take-no-shit young woman, deals a hallucinogenic drug called “theta,” facilitating an audience for her friends’ all-girl rock band. When Gayce’s friends are brutally murdered, she must solve the mystery behind the murders and protect herself from the killer. She discovers the connections between theta and the murders – and learns a terrifying truth. That the world — indeed her whole reality — is not as it seems.
The Theta Girl directed by Christopher Bickel and written by David Axe had its world premiere at midnight in Atlanta on October 13, 2017. Produced by Barron Perter Productions. This winter, the film release on film circuits. Bickel calls the film a “brutally violent existential horror film” that features a violent home invasion. For a film made with a tight budget, it’s been deemed a masterpiece among audience and critics alike.
The Cast Includes
The Theta Girl follows Gayce, who looks to be a vigilante. Its hard to tell whether she is a good guy or a bad guy, but one thing is for certain, she is a tough guy. Her tough as nails, no-nonsense performance in the trailer is phenomenal.
The trailer opens quick like a sucker punch and viewers will be intrigued. Cinematography technique is great for this film, it has a dark grunge vibe. The background score is upbeat and parallel to the nonstop action of the scenes.
The Theta Girl is an invigorating concept. Dark grunge cinematography effects, the music selections, and the special effects look great. Cast performances are exciting.
