Topic 1. Siren Season 2 Confirmed 89:30
In February 2018 we Interviewed Actress Tammy Gillis, the following month Actress Hannah Levien returned as our exclusive interview. Both Gillis and Levien were plugging their upcoming television series Siren. At the time Siren was much anticipated, a highlighted addition to Freeform. The series aired between March 29th 2018 to May 24th, 2018 and has no relation to Gregg Bishop’s feature released in 2016 or Andrew Hull’s 2010 film. All three project bear the same title.
The synopsis to Siren reads:
A mermaid-obsessed town is turned upside down when a mysterious girl appears and begins wreaking havoc.
Freeform scored big with the folklore themed Horror Drama that centers on the world of mermaids. Season one ended and Freeform quickly confirmed and are moving forward with a sixteen episodic season two. According to Deadline Siren made waves with female audiences, particularly with 18 to 34 age demographic.
Topic 2. American Horror Story Season 8 94:40

Topic 3. The X-Files Season 12 Update 104:29
In DecayMag Podcast S7 Ep10 co-host Stacy Cox and I discussed Gillian Anderson’s decision to leave her iconic role as Agent Dana Scully. Anderson stated:
“there are lots of things that I want to do in my life and career. It’s been an extraordinary opportunity. I’m extremely grateful. [But] I don’t want to be tied down to doing one thing for months and months…
I like to be challenged as an actor. That’s why I got into this business. And it’s time for me to hang up Scully’s hat. This is it for me — I’m really serious.”
Anderson’s absence appears to be a deathblow to the longstanding series at Fox. The nail in the coffin for The X Files reflects in the following statement.
“….there are no plans to do another season at the moment.”
Gary Newman FOX co-chairman and CEO
Cris Carter, The X Files series creator is not ready to call it quits, again. Via DigitalSpy Carter issued the following;
“I think that certainly The X-Files has more life in it, there are more stories to tell, with Gillian or without….”
Cris Carter, The X Files series creator

The Vampire Chronicles has some major updates as reported on DreadCentral. The bad news is Bryan Fuller is no longer attached to the project, as he chose to move on. The good news is showrunner Christopher Rice has completed the Pilot episode, which will be titled “Wolf Killer”.
Segment 4 Trailer First Impressions
Topic 1. Upgrade 116:46
Director: Leigh Whannell
Writer: Leigh Whannell
Release Date: 1 June 2018 (USA)
Release Format: Cinemas
MPAA Rating: R
Genre: Action, Comedy, Horror
Running Time: 1h 35min
Set in the near-future, technology controls nearly all aspects of life. But when Grey, a self-identified technophobe, has his world turned upside down, his only hope for revenge is an experimental computer chip implant called Stem.
Upgrade, originally titled Stem does not look to be an upgrade in terms of the original storyline. In 1994 John Sjogren released The Mosaic Project. The film centered on the following premise:
A couple small town guys accidentally get chips implanted in their heads that turn them into super agents fluent in dozens of languages and martial arts skills.
Upgrade has a similar plot borrowed from Gary Lundgren’s 2016 feature, Black Lagoon. In this release the protagonist is aided with a sidekick chip implant. Here’s the synopsis;
In 2029 an ex-military drifter risks his life to protect a woman from her dangerous ex in the lawless State of Jefferson. He’s aided by his A.I. implant Clyde who proves partner and friend.
The action heavy fight scenes in the trailer for Upgrade has a Hardcore Henry vibe that may appeal to general audiences. Yet, Whannell’s upcoming film may need an AI aid to create a better story line. Beside what is up with Hollywood making trans-humanism and getting chip implants look so cool? Conspiracy theorists will be thrilled for this next.
Topic 2. Sharp Objects 122:42
Creator: Marti Noxon
Release Date: July 8, 2018
Release Format: TV Series
MPAA Rating: Not Rated
Genre: Crime, Drama, Mystery
Running Time: 1 hr
Fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, reporter Camille Preaker faces a troubling assignment: she must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. For years, Camille has hardly spoken to her neurotic, hypochondriac mother or to the half-sister she barely knows: a beautiful 13 year old with an eerie grip on the town. Now, installed in her old bedroom in her family’s Victorian mansion, Camille finds herself identifying with the young victms – a bit too strongly. Dogged by her own demons, she must unravel the psychological puzzle of her own past if she wants to get the story – and survive this homecoming.
The trailer for Sharp Objects has a minimalist and simplistic approach, yet the images are eerie enough to raise curiosity.
Topic 3. Down A Dark Hall 128:38

Michael Goldbach (screenplay)

Down A Dark Hall has familiarity. However, the trailer has some intense clips that will raise the viewer’s curiosity.
