In DecayMag Sessions Episode 13 I had the pleasure of interviewing Nicholas Tana and Denise Acosta the creative team behind the Comedy, Horror, Hell’s Kitty. The film is set to release on The 13th, of March 2018 via Wild Eye Releasing. Speaking of release, according to IMDb, the duo also worked together on a masturbation-themed documentary titled; Sticky: A (Self) Love Story. Yet, the topic of our interview centers on a less explosive yet pressing issue.

Tana and Acosta created a web series with its success grounded in a relatable topic, a cat from hell. Many cat owners, myself included have horror stories to tell about a traumatic experience involving a ferocious feline. Fueled by personal experiences Tana with the aid of Acosta set out to create comedic horror content Hell’s Kitty made its web debut in 2011.
Hell’s Kitty is now a full feature film, this in addition to a graphic novel with plans for expansion as a musical. The idea of Hell’s Kitty as garnered a cult following spawning a drinking game and The Chainsaw Kitty music video.
Our interview features a comedic tone with focus on Hell’s Kitty, relationships and practical effects. Also included is a cat-sound/programmed keyboard under possession by Angel the cat.
