Plan 10 From Outer Space Kickstarter Campaign Launched
Plan 9 from Outer Space will get another reimagined model. The planned modernization will not be another movie clone. That’s because James Mascia and Michael Dolce have a unique approach, a creative idea in mind. Wood’s humans vs. monsters vs. aliens concept into a graphic novel. The project titled Plan 10 from Outer Space is set in the present day. Micheal Dolce explains how the idea came into development.
“When James approached me with the idea of a sequel to Plan 9, it immediately got the juices flowing….
“….When coming up with Plan 10 we kept coming back to our society’s dependence on cell phones and technology and the story and talking it took off from there.”
The synopsis reads as follows:
Plan 10 takes place in the tiny town of Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA, reimagining the original Plan 9 for our modern times. In this version, our heroes are no strangers to fiendish ghouls, vampires, and zombies and quickly dispatch the so-called threat. The aliens are left with no choice: Plan 10: enslave humanity through a mobile app called Sentient and destroy us one cell phone at a time.
Mascia and Dolce started a Kickstarter campaign. The funds will go towards the development of the project. The creators of the graphic novel are hoping to raise seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) to create the sixty-four-page graphic novel.
As of the 15th of July 2016, twenty-one days remain in the campaign. A total of seven hundred and seventy-nine ($779) have accrued. Funds raised will go towards the artwork and cover design. Artist Osiris Junior is on board and will be designing the interior layout. Artists Soussherpa and Tony Moy will oversee the cover art.
