Overview Jack Bishop, Justin Nijm. Stan Against EvilStan Against Evil made it’s premiere right in time for Halloween on IFC. The new Comedy, Horror television show is directed by Jack Bishop and Justin Nijm, produced by Ed Tapia, Dana Gould, Tom Lasally, John C. McGinley, Frank Scherma, and Justin Wilkes, and written by Susan Burke and Dana Gould.

The cast stars Deborah Baker Jr. (Great Indoors, 2 Broke Girls), John C. McGinley (Se7en, The Rock), Janet Varney (Catwoman, Drillbit Taylor), and Nate Mooney (Push, Seraphim Falls).

Stan Against Evil plays like a Comedy, Horror Creature Feature. It reminds me of Fred Dekker’s The Monster Squad (1987) and Ash vs. Evil Dead, released in 2015.

The good thing about this show is that it’s coming at a perfect time in the genre and refreshing the scene with a different take than what’s been the norm as of lately.

The Horror scene is generating more and more television shows nowadays, with the more frequented themes being Zombies, Werewolves, and Vampires. It’s nice to see monsters of other forms starting to get more notoriety and adding more variety and flair to the scene.

Jack Bishop and Justin Nijm’s Stan Against Evil calls for Demons, and this is definitely a new take on Horror television, as demons don’t necessarily frequent the niche like the aforementioned monsters.

Stan Against Evil has already kicked off season one on IFC, and is already getting positive responses to it’s first two Jack Bishop, Justin Nijm. Stan Against Evil
