Just when you thought all hope was lost for Netflix for us horror fans, along comes the light at the end of the tunnel. Matt and Ross Duffer’s new Drama, Horror, Thriller series, “Stranger Things” is set to make it’s debut on Netflix on July 15, 2016. The synopsis serves its purpose to provide a fresh scene to the Supernatural genre.
“Hawkins, Indiana, 1980’s. Stranger Things chronicles the search for a young boy who vanishes into thin air under highly suspicious circumstances. His mother opens an investigation into the boy’s disappearance with local authorities that unravels a series of mysteries involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.”
“Stranger Things” will be an eight-episodic one-hour long dark, supernatural journey. Originally titled “Montauk” the series will premiere exclusively on Netflix. Serving as co-showrunners on the project are Matt Duffer, and Ross Duffer. The Duffers directed, penned and are executive producers. Also serving as co-showrunners and executive producers are Karl Gajdusek, Shawn Levy, and Dan Cohen.

Mike (Finn Wolfhard) is the lead star of “Stranger Things”. He stars a 12-year-old boy who’s been bullied and goes on a heroic quest to save his best friend. Joyce (Winona Ryder) stars as Mike’s mom; a working-class single mom. David Harbour stars as Chief of Police of the town. Eleven (Millie Brown) stars as the strange girl, who possess strange abilities, that Mike meets in the woods.
“Stranger Things” looks to be a dark, deep psychological supernatural Drama-Horror-Thriller. A journey in the eyes of a young adolescent who goes missing into a dark place. The frantic search for her son unveils troubling mysteries, dangerous secret experiments, and terrifying supernatural forces. Things definitely go bump in the night in this unsettling psychological roller coaster.
