Z Nation Renewed by Syfy

Z Nationthe post-apocalyptic television series is confirmed to return for a third season on NBC/Universal-owned cable network, Syfy. The season renewal for “Z Nation” as announced on Friday the 6th of November 2015. The third season will consist of fifteen episodes and are scheduled for a 2016 broadcast. Although specifics were offered on a release date, the third season will most likely begin in September for the Fall season. The news comes on the heels of the recent series cancellations on of Syfy original programming including the series; “Defiance” and “Dominion”.

Currently, in the middle of the second season, horror-comedy “Z Nation” became one of the most popular series originals on Syfy’s. Ratings for the show are averaging 1.5 million total viewers and Syfy also added that “Z Nation”is ranked as:

“most social original series in total social engagements”

“Z nation” centers on a scenario in which a zombie plague has devastated the world. A rag-tag team on a mission to providing a cure the the virus. The group are tasked with escorting a carrier of the virus cross country to a facility in California.  “Z Nation” airs every Friday on SyFy, check you local cable and/or satellite provide for specific time slot.

Karl Schaefer is the executive producer of “Z Nation” and is produced by The Asylum and sold internationally by Dynamic Television. “Z Nation” stars: DJ Qualls, Keith Allan, Nat Zang, Kellita Smith, Anastasia Baranova, Russell Hodgkinson, and Matt Cedeño. Surprise guests have appeared on the horror comedy -series, “Z Nation” and have included horror and Sci-Fi icons. The guest stars were; George R. R. Martin, Missi Pyle, Doug Jones, Anthony Michael Hall, and Gina Gershon.
