Bunker, Splendy Games To Offer Live Action Horror Experience
Bunker, is a video game scheduled to release on PC, consoles and mobile gaming platforms. This video game marks the debut release from UK based developer; Splendy Games. Companies Last Chance Films and Wales Interactive served as co-production. Green Man Gaming will published “Bunker” for PC/Mac. Wales Interactive will oversee publishing for console platforms. Serving as publisher for mobile gaming platforms will be All 4 Games.
Actors Adam Brown, Grahame Fox and actress Sarah Greene star in this psychological horror. Brown portrays the protagonist named John. The character John is the last survivor living in a government bunker after a nuclear attack wiped out England.
The cast involved are not providing typical voice over work. Absent are all aspects of CGI and motion caption. “Bunker” offers a live action game play experience. Visuals and production core sets “Bunker” apart from most indie games titles. The production on location in Essex, England. For the full authentic feel a real government nuclear bunker served as the backdrop.
Actor Adam Brown shared the following on the story driven narrative and visual execution:
“The whole experience was fascinating to be a part of. As the story is non-linear we had to film every single possibility and interaction – I became a real life games character! It’s a terrific location and very spooky – they had me crawling around in some strange places!”
“Bunker” is a story rich narrative written by; Allan Plenderleith, Kevin Beimers, Steve Ince, and Ian Thomas. The writing team are the creative minds behind video game titles such as; “The Witcher”, “SOMA” and “Broken Sword”.
The Synopsis to “Bunker” reads as follows:
“You are the last remaining survivor of a nuclear bunker, 30 years after the blast obliterated everything above ground. Over the years everyone else has died, and their corpses are locked away in the cold storage room. Your daily routine is the only thing keeping you sane – just – but when an alarm is triggered, your mind begins to self-destruct. You must venture deeper and deeper into the bunker discovering long forgotten zones and uncovering dark and repressed memories that finally reveal the terrible secret of the bunker.”
