Chasing Dead, Horror Sci-Fi Driven FPS
Chasing dead is the next horror title to arrive on Nintendo’s Wii U game console. Unlike its competitors, horror infused and first person shooters (FPS) video games are a rarity for Nintendo’s gaming platform. Indie gaming developer, 2020 Venture hopes to capitalize on the aforementioned game market with their latest release, “Chasing dead”. Will the project gain traction within Nintendo’s gaming community? Successful results for “Chasing Dead” remains to be seen. Nintendo’s targets a younger demographic and/or casual gaming enthusiasts. The audience has proven to be a constant obstacle for Horror oriented game titles on this particular game console. Arriving on Nintendo’s Wii U in March via eshop, “Chasing Dead” is marketed as:

An overview of 2020 Venture’s upcoming title reads as follows:
The game begins with a strange phenomenon in which another Earth appears in our skies. The curiosity and fear of a doppelganger planet initiates multiple missions in order to make contact with the duplicate Earth. A team of agents, astronauts, and scientists were sent 955,600 miles across space by NASA and the US Military, however all contact is lost a few hours after their arrival. You play as a marine named “Jake” who is sent on a mission to retrieve any research and data left behind by the original survey team while fighting off hostile forces
By the looks of the trailer, its evident that the game is a fast paced action shooter reminiscent of many horror first person shooters currently available. “Chasing Dead” will be entering a crowded market with top heavyweights and contenders offering similar game play. The strategic move is an alternative source of revenue and opens the door for PC, Lunix and MAC based gamers to embrace this upcoming horror title.
