Friday the 13th Development Moves Onward

Friday the 13th game surpassed its crowdfunding goal on Kickstarter of seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000). However, additional contributions didn’t quite reach the five and a half million dollar mark  ($5.5 million) developers Gun Media and Illfonic were seeking thought additional stretch goals.

With development on the “Friday the 13th” video game moving quickly the game’s developer Gun Media released a video of its work in progress last weekend.  The embedded video begins with the following disclaimer:

“This is a RARE glimpse into a game development prototype build that we’re using to test and prove out gameplay design concept. All of the assets, character models, animations, etc… are temporary assets, put in place so we can test in a reasonable context. The art, sound effects, music and gameplay are not final by any means.”

Don’t expect to see the envisioning of the final product, the video offers the basics in video game design and and construction. Keep in mind that this is a pre-Alpha, in layman’s terms the footage presents an extremely early concept of the game, “Friday the 13th”.
