Mothership mixes bullet-hell intensity with the shooting, customization, and traversal of the first-person genre. Fight your way through the alien fleets, facing randomized enemy and level mayhem as you clear rooms and take out some of the biggest bosses seen in the FPS genre.
Terrible Posture Games and Grip Digital released the announcement trailer for Mothergunship. The video reached over fifteen thousand views since its debut on the 15th of February. The upcoming first-person shooter (FPS) is action-driven and science fiction based. A release date is not yet confirmed for this upcoming title. More information on Mothergunship may become available following PAX East.
Below is a summary of the upcoming features offered in Mothergunship. According to the press release, there are three aspects to the game and they are as follows:
Mothergunship places the player in a combat intensive situation involving hordes of enemies. The arena of combat will be aboard different spaceships. Alien controlled machines need conquering, and traps need avoiding. There is, of course, the presence of level bosses as the formidable obstacle.
As with most FPS, the player is to equip weapons to meet the combat situation. Mothergunship offers a gun crafting system. This option gives freedom of control to create exaggerated destructive weaponry. For example, a lightning shotgun or a rocket firing shotgun is possible.
The resist section of the game describes the CO-OP option gameplay. Players can join up with their friends or engage in community combat.
According to steam, the smallest system requirements is 4 gigabyte RAM.
The first person shooter genre is a crowded arena. This gameplay is one of the most favorable in the gaming community. Yet, there needs to be a certain aspect that sets one game apart from the other. With so many FPS options available what does Mothergunship offer that’s any different?
The developers for Mothergunship relied on intensive combat situations as a distinguishing factor. There’s also the option of modifying weaponry. With the latter, this becomes a time-consuming experience. Having the odd-looking improvised weapon has its pros and cons.
Most FPS games are realistic. Blood and gore are not a contributor for Mothergunship. Instead, the game has a science-fiction backdrop. Players will engage again alien robots in some yet-to-be-revealed Galaxy.
Based on the Trailer, the visual aesthetics look stunning. The rapid sequences and color schemes may be problematic for sensitive viewers. There’s always the issue of triggering unwanted episodes of vertigo. An in-game exhibition may suffice in drawing strong analysis.
First person shooters are not a personal preference. Yet, Mothergunship does deliver as a curiosity. Stay tuned to Decaymag.com for more developing information on Grip Digital’s next release.
